A swimmer bathing at Browne's Beach in the vicinity of Carlisle Bay was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital earlier this week after being stung by a dangerous species of jellyfish.
A group of concern persons met last night at the Aquatic Centre, Bay Street, to discuss the matter and are urging to swim in group to confront any dangers lurking in the waters.
President of the Amateur Swimming Association of Barbados Andrew Kirby told Trakker News that it's vital for swimmers to take every necessary safeguard to avoid an unpleasant scenario while bathing at Browne's Beach.
