Bridgetown.
A steady decline in cruise ship visitors to Barbados over the next two years has been projected by Geoffrey Roach, chief executive officer of Bridgetown Curise Terminals Inc.
"The last official numbers I have seen indicate a decline somewhere in the region of ten percent but of course number change all of the time, so it is perceived that although there will be a marked decline it is not likely to be a big hit", Roach told Trakker News.
Roach stated that the projected numbers had also shown a decline for the 2012/13 season but he was not alarm.
He said the focus of the cruise industry this year was in increasing passenger spending,as that was more important than numbers.
