A medical doctor has express concern over the way Barbadians are using high engery drinks.
Dr Adrian Lorde a member of the World Anti- Doping Association says Barbadians are abusing high energy drinks by mixing them with alcohol.
Acording to Lorde people are drinking high energy drinks and not eating properly. He warned that these drinks have an high concentration of caffeine that can cause cardiac arrhythmia.
This week the Food and Drug Administration in the United States started a probe into reports that five people had died after drinking the highly caffeinated Monster Energy drink.
Monster mixed with young is a popular drink with young Barbadians.
