Health care at several state run medical facilities will be interrupted tomorrow morning because of a extraordinary of the Barbados Association of Medical Practitioners,' (BAMP) which stars at 9.30 a.m in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Auditorium.
According to BAMP it has been almost a year since its took industrial action in response to unresolved issues affecting medical professionals and by extension, the patients.
BAMP in a press statement said that a central issue was the terms and conditions of service of doctors and the inadequacy of the current contracts….In the interim, issues of non payment of gratuities, salaries, security, non national policy and drug formulary revision have all surfaced.
