The Barbados Assocation of Medical Practition Practitioners (BAMP) is calling on the Government of Barbados to publish the list of doctors registered to practise medicine on the island.
in April this year, the Barbados Medical Council struck thirty eight doctors off the medical register they were among 50 doctors who have not completed the two-step registration process by the Barbados Medical Council in accordance with Section 18 of the Medical Profession Act 2011-1, at that time 12 doctors had indicated they were retiring or would not be in the island.
According to BAMP, the Government has failed to publish the list of doctors and specialist registered to practise medicine in Barbados at the end of April as required by law.
BAMP has written a letter to the fired Minister of Health John Boyce asking him to look into the matter.
