San Fernando: The family of San Fernando East Member of Parliament, former Prime Minister Patrick Manning, says his doctors are reporting good progress in his recovery from a stroke.
A statement from the Manning family says that they met with his health care providers, both personally and via the internet and that all members of the medical team – medical doctors and therapists – were very positive in their outlook.
The statement says that in describing Manning’s response thus far, the doctors used terms like “wonderful” and “awesome”.
They say he has made excursions outside of the institution, and continued care as an outpatient is being planned.
The statement adds that for some time now, the result of his blood tests for the international normalised ratio has remained stable in the required range and that Manning remains in good spirits and is excited by his day to day progress.
