Dominica: Five people are in the running to be Dominica’s next head of state, according to a front page article in Monday’s Sun newspaper, the Observer reported.
The list put forward by the paper includes the chairman of the Integrity Commission – former Cabinet Secretary Julian Johnson, and Ross University professor Dr Gerarld Grell, said to be the two frontrunners.
Speaker of the House of Assembly Alix Boyd-Knights has also been shortlisted, according to the Sun newspaper.
The other two named are Dr Edward Watty and retired banker Conrad McIntyre.
President Nicholas Liverpool is due to end his second term as Head of State next year, but there is a suggestion that he may leave earlier because of ill health, the report said.
