Martin: Police are tonight investigating the death of two men from Diego Martin who were gunned down last evening.
Forty-six-year-old Brian Maxy and Clifford Simmons were liming at John Grocery at the corner of Eligon Avenue and the Diego Martin Main Road, when a man walked up to both of them, announced a hold up, and shot both men in the back. They died on the spot.
Relatives declined to speak to the media. No motives have been identified.
Meanwhile, the cause of death of a 63 year-old Chinapoo woman will be determined on Monday when an autopsy will be carried out on her body. Leonie Noel was found dead in her van along the Lady Young Road in Morvant this morning.
Police sources say her van was parked up along the roadway since yesterday afternoon. Her body bore no marks of violence nor were any items stolen from her vehicle.
Meanwhile, no motive has been established for the murder of Dwayne Charles of Fairville, Mayaro. Police reports indicate that gunshots were heard coming from Charles' room around 11.30 last night. Relatives who were at home heard the explosions and alerted the police.
Charles was wanted on a murder charge and only recently appeared in court for drugs.
