Georgetown- Defense lawyers for ex police commissioner Henry Greene have until Friday to respond to a submission made by the DPP on a motion seeking to block the commissioner from getting the rape charge. In a series of controversial statements given by Greene about the alleged illicit affair with a 37 year old woman, the commissioner admitted to having consensual sex with her after days of denial that any such act occured. At the last court hearing on February 28,Justice Ian Chang gave the DPP’s attorney, Naresh Harnanan, 10 days to submit a detailed response on behalf of the DPP and Greene’s defence five days following the submission of the DPP’s statement to respond. Thereafter, the chief justice will notify both parties when he will give his decision.
