West Coast Demerara : The police are working on leads to arrest a car driver who hit down two people and drove away.
26 year old Kaishri Persaud and 17 year old Tricia De Freitas were walking along the roadway at New Road, Vreed-en Hoop, West Coast Demerara, when they were struck down by a motor vehicle which drove away. They were taken to the West Demerara Regional Hospital where Kaishri Persaud was pronounced dead on arrival, while Tricia De Freitas has been admitted a patient at a private hospital.
