Essequibo : Motorcar driver Forest Ranger, who killed a pedal cyclist fled the scene but was shortly

apprehended.Yesterday around 6:30pm. 23 year old Ranger was driving motorcar licenses number PPP 6851 along spring Garden Public Road, Essequibo Coast when he hit pedal cyclist Lallman Narine. The motor car which was proceeding south along the eastern carriageway behind the pedal cyclist suddenly collided with the rear of the cycle.
As a result of the impact the 41 year old Lallman fell onto the roadway.
He was picked up in an unconscious state and rushed to Suddie Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Ranger fled the scene and was shortly after arrested in Supenaam and taken into custody. His blood alcohol level was found to be exceedingly high
