Duke: “I didn’t sell-out”

Port of Spain: Public Services Association’s (P.S.A.) President Watson Duke today broke his silence on his acceptance of Government’s five per cent increase offer.   Duke who is currently on vacation said that as a leader he has to listen to the people. However he stands by his decision saying it was the best deal that public officers could have gotten at this time.  Since the acceptance, Duke has been under heavy criticism by many of his labour colleagues who accused him of betraying them. Duke however said that he is no sell-out and dismissed all claims of him accepting money.  He said when he returns in May an official address would be made.
