East Coast Demerara: A mother is now inconsolable after losing two of her young children in an early morning blaze. Dead is Josiah 4 and Julius 6 both were asleep in the shack they called home at Bare Root, East Coast Demerara. Reports are that the elders were out the house at the time as the mother left to do some chore leaving a lighted stove in the home. It is believed that the fire resulted from the kerosene stove, which when left unattended has been the caused for many fires in the past. However, the shocked mother denied leaving the stove unattended. Investigators have been summoned to the scene and the undertakers were assisted by police in identifying the charred remains of the children.
