Joan Fernandez has been arrested in connection with the suspected trafficking of five Guyanese women who were held wearing bathing suits during a raid last Thursday by the Sex Crimes Unit of the Royal Barbados Police Force.
The 76 year old woman of Eagle Hall, St Michael, was charged yesterday and is scheduled to appear before the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court this morning.
Earlier this week, Amelia Joseph and Keenon Chase appeared in court y facing 30 charges of suspected involvement with the trafficking of five Guyanese women here, aged between 17 and 21 years old. Chase has been remanded to HMP Dodds while Joseph, who is pregnant, was granted bail.
