Trinidad – The Employers Consultative Association is today condemning the sick-out action by police officers.
The officers are back on the job today after some called in sick in divisions across the country forcing soldiers to pick up the slack at critical state buildings such as the Parliament and the Prime Minister's residence. They are protesting a five per cent wage increase offer from the Government
This morning however Ruben McSween of the ECA said the police action cannot be condone or justified. He says it places the security of the entire country at risk.
"It cannot be acceptable under any circumstances."
