Bridgetown.
Jason Hadaway, a former Special Constable, was released on bail yesterday, when he appeared in the District A Traffic Court charged with stealing a bullet proof vest when he was a member of the Royal Barbados Police Force.
The former lawman denied that between March 14, 2007 and September 2, this year, he stole a bulletproof vest worth $995 belonging to the Crown.
There was no objection to bail and Magistrate Douglas Frederick released him with a surety of $300 and oder Hadaway to report to District C Police Station every Wednesday.
The case was adjourned until February 2.
