Excavator used to tear down AFC banner at Ogle

Georgetown : The Alliance For Change,  received credible reports that an excavator was used to tear down a huge banner which the party had mounted across the southern carriageway of the East Coast Demerara highway at Ogle.

The party this morning said they are disturbed by this deliberate act of vandalism against its campaign. The party believes that this desperate and reprehensible act of vandalism is a direct response to the realisation in some quarters that the party has massive support all across Guyana and is steadily working its way to victory on elections day – November 28th.

The 21 ft banner was printed on sturdy material and reinforced with wood and high quality rope. The banner had attracted the attention of thousands of persons travelling from Berbice and the East Coast of Demerara into Georgetown and the AFC headquarters received numerous calls commending the party for erecting the impressive banner which was creating an enormous impact with the travelling public.

The AFC expects that a full investigation will be conducted and that the perpetrators and owner of the excavator will be brought to justice.
