Georgetown : Artistes competing in the National Chutney Monarch finals on January 5 at the National Cultural Centre (NCC) pulled their number that would determine the order in which they would appear on stage.
A grand rehearsal is scheduled today at the NCC before they make their appearance on Saturday.
For 2013, the winner of the competition will compete in the Trinidad chutney competition. Haresh Singh copped the first place in 2012 and was awarded $550,000 and a trophy; Terry Gajraj came in second, and was awarded $350,000 and a trophy while Fiona Singh took the third spot and received $200,000 and a trophy.
The National Chutney Monarch competition is part of activities for Mashramani.
