Georgetown: Mahendra Ramkellewan has once again put his name on the airwaves and is making headlines, only this time he is not bringing in a new hit chutney song, but answering to accusation of assault on his wife. According to his fans he may have to sing a different tune 'dem a catch meh'. He pleaded not guilty in court yesterday and was remanded to prison. Reports are that Ramkellawan verbally and physically abuse his wife following a dispute. It not clear what caused the alleged assault, but his close associates say that Ramkellawan's fame as a chutney singer has affected his wife, who may be acting out for attention.
