Farmers Association of Guyana pays courtesy call on President

Georgetown : President David Granger received a courtesy call from representatives of the Farmers Association of Guyana, at the Ministry of the Presidency.

 

The team was led by Mr. Wazeer Latiff and was comprised of Ms. Susan Lowe, Mr. Michael Lowe and Mr. Surendra Sookdeo. At the meeting, issues related to the rice sector, the Guyana Sugar Corporation (GuySuCo) and diversification of the economy, among other matters were discussed.

 

Mr. Latiff, in an invited comment, said the meeting was fruitful and he called on the nation to unite and support the President’s mission to make Guyana a better place.

 

“I really appreciate [President Granger’s] patience and time and I do believe he has a far way to go… I want to ask all Guyanese to support him,” he said.
