Fatal fire was caused by children playing with matches-Investigation findings

Georgetown- Fire service investigators have concluded in their preliminary investigation that Tuesday's fire at Vryheid's Lust that took the life of two year old Nicholas Maraj, was caused by children playing with matches. The toddler and his three year old cousin were playing in the bedroom at the time of the fire which started there. The youngster managed to escape the blaze as people in the area who formed a bucket brigade failed to get to the toddler in time,since the blaze was too intense. TrakkerNews understand that the two boys were left unattended for awhile by their great grandmother when the tragedy occurred.
