Police Constable Alexis Edward of Pioneer Road, Bush Hall, St Michael is Barbados latest road fatality, she died around 6.19 this morning.
Edward 29 was the lone passenger in a vehicle driven by Kirk White, 29, of Rock Dundo Heights, St Michael. The accident occurred on Bush Hall Main Road, at the junction of Civillian Road.
White received injuries and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he is being treated. Initial reports are that the vehicle ran off the road and struck the guard wall of a funeral home.
Edwards died on the spot, 17 people have died on the roads of Barbados this year.
