Bridgetown.
A on court fight between BRC and Brittons Hill at the Netball Stadium ended a netball match in the Barbados Workers' Union competition last night with the police springing into action to separate two opposing players.
Brittons Hill were leading 36-9 in the second quarter when centre Makabe Clarke and wing defence Jennifer Seale of BRC began jostling on the court,
After some physical activity between the two, Seale pursued Clarke as she ran off the court, two members of the Police Force intervened when Seale armed with a piece of wood, started toward Clarke.
After calm was restored the umpires recalled the teams to the courts with the intentions of ejecting Seale and Clarke.
The BRC players refused to return to the court and the match was awarded to BRC.
