Bridgetown.
Principal of the Alexandra School Jeff Broomes and president of Barbados Union of Secondary Teachers (BUST) Mary Redman, along with their delegations will meet with Minister of Education Ronald Jones at the Ministry of Education tomorrow.
This is the final attempt by Jones to broker a settlement to the impasse at the Alexandra School, it will be the the first face to face meeting between the two parties since half of the teachers at the school walked off the job two weeks ago demanding that Broomes be separated from the St Peter based institution.
Jones held a held a meeting yesterday with Broomes and his representatives from the National Union of Public Workers(NUPW) and the Barbados Association of Principals of Public Schools.
At the end of the talks Jones told journalists that it would be better for all of the parties if the matter is resolved quickly.
"I don't intend to stand for an inordinately long time without those children at Alexandra being taught, so I want to say to all parties concern, let us meet as quickly as possible and work through areas of difficulty that still exist", Jones said.
