Georgetown: Noon on day 2 as ballots continue to be counted. At a just concluded press briefing, Gecom chairman Steve Surujbally told the press that the process so far is free from any discrepancies and that rumours must be dispelled. He promised that a timely projection will be posted with updated results, expressing dissatisfaction at the slothness of information posted on the airwaves.Surujbally urged voters to accept the results and get on with their lives. Regarding a recount requested by the PPP/C, Chief Elections Officer Gocool Boodhoo, said that at 1pm this exercise will take place at the returning officer's office and all stakeholders have been informed. Boodhoo said that the recount however will only involve the votes questioned by the party.
