Georgetown : Just after 6pm today, fire destroyed a two storey wooden building at A’ Field Sophia. This publication was told that four persons including a toddler were at home at the time the house went up in flames.
The Guyana fire department dispatched several fire tenders from their Campbeville location about five minutes away, but was unable to contain the fire and save the building.
The origin of the fire is yet to be determined.
