Fire in City Mall came under control

Georgetown : At around 10:45 am today hundreds of persons who were shopping in the City Mall at the corner of Camp and Regent Streets ran out of the four storey building after word spread of a fire.

TrakkerNews was told by a member of the Guyana Fire Service at the scene that a substance used as incense was lighted and fell on artificial flowers in a store at the 2nd flat of the building. The fire was however contained by persons in and around the store. No damages were reported.
