East Coast Demerara :The police are investigating the alleged kidnapping of fisherman Rasheed Bridgemohan called “Convict”, 36 years of North West District.
Investigations so far revealed that at about 2130h. on Friday September 30, 2011, Rasheed Bridgemohan had left his aunt’s home at
Farm Squatting Area, EBD, to go and a have a tattoo placed on his arm and had not been seen since.
At about 2:30 pm today the aunt received a call on her house phone from a male caller who demanded the sum of $1M for the safe return of Rasheed Bridgemohan.
Three more such calls were later received by the aunt.
Investigations are in progress.
