East Bank Demerara : This morning at about 3:30a.m, fisherman Ganesh Vishwanauth of Grove, East Bank Demerara, was at the Meadow Bank Wharf when he was confronted by two men, one of whom was armed with a firearm.
The men demanded cash to which Ganesh Vishwanauth resisted and was shot to his buttocks and the perpetrators took away $240, 000 and escaped.
Ganesh Vishwanauth has been admitted to hospital as the investigations continue.
