Five gunmen escape after shooting victim

Georgetown: Five gunmen escape after shooting at a patron drinking beers at Rite Price supermarket at the intersection Cemetery road and Durban Street Lodge Sunday afternoon. The man who pretended to be dead was only grazed in the head by a bullet. The gunmen then left in a car and were followed by a plain clothes police officer who also came under fire by the gunmen. The chase was then abandoned. The man was assisted in leaving the scene with the aid of friends. Police subsequently visited the scene where the shots were fired. Investigations are continuous.
