Five shot dead in early morning home invasion at Liliendaal
Georgetown : Just after 3am today five armed bandits were shot dead by the police at a house in a gated community at liliendaal not too far from the University of Guyana and the Giftland Mall. Preliminary reports are the police got a tip off after the gunmen broke into the house using a crowbar. The family in the house secured themselves and alerted the police. There was an exchange of gunfire between the bandits and the police and five men were reported dead.
