Food security, climate change and energy high on agenda when CARICOM and US meet in Jamaica this week.

 

Georgetown : A High Level Meeting between the Caribbean Community and the United States of America will be held in Montego Bay, Jamaica on June 22nd , 2011. The US delegation is expected to be led by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. The Government of Guyana will be represented by the Honourable Dr. Jennifer Westford, Minister for the Public Service.

The agenda will cover issues under the CARICOM-US Cooperation Programme particularly those relating to the Caribbean Basin Security Initiative and the reconstruction of Haiti.  Matters pertaining to energy, climate change and food security will also be addressed.
