Georgetown: Sixty-five year old Ronald Gajraj who was a former Minister of Home Affairs under the PPP government died on Saturday at the Woodlands Hospital.
It is alleged that he suffered a heart attack.
Gajraj was also a former military officer and Attorney-at-Law who was in charge of security during a 2002-2012 crime spree of murders, kidnappings and robberies.
A Commission of Inquiry later failed to establish that there had been credible evidence that Gajraj had been linked to a state-sponsored death squad. His US visas were revoked.
