Georgetown -Rickford Burke, a former aide to former President of Guyana and Leader of the People’s National Congress Reform (PNCR), Hugh Desmond Hoyte, on Friday endorsed the lone female in the PNCR’s Presidential Candidate race, Dr. Faith Harding. 
The endorsement came ahead of the party’s Saturday, February 26, 2011 Special Congress at which one of five candidates vying for the position would be elected the the party’s Presidential Candidate and will head its list of candidates to contest general elections due later this year.
The other candidates are former Finance Minister Carl Greenidge, former Guyana Defense Force Brigadier and National Security Advisor David Granger, and Attorneys James Bond and Basil Williams. Williams is a Vice Chairman of the party.
