Former New York Council Woman Una Clark Backs Guyanese Presidential Candidate Khemraj Ramjattan

Georgetown : Jamaican born UnaClark , the first Caribbean born woman to be elected to New York City’s legislature served Brooklyn community for a decade in office and was responsible for sponsoring more than 300 pieces of legislation called on all Guyanese to make the right decision at this year’s election.

Clark who is endorsing Alliance For Change Presidential Candidate Khemraj Ramjattan emphasized that change is the only way forward if Guyana is to remove itself from the racial divide that exists and grow as a country that is unified.

She said that campaigns are costly and financially supporting the candidate is the only way the message can get to all communities in Guyana.

She called on women to be proactive and become involved in the movement if they want a healthier Guyana for their children and families.

The AFC claims that Guyana’s current population is said to be less than 800,000 people where more than fifty percent of Guyanese currently live outside of Guyana due to lack of jobs, high cost of living, rampant crimes, money laundering, narcotics trading and overwhelming government corruption.
