East Coast Demerara- Residents in Foulis housing scheme are calling on the authorities to patrol the area and track down a group of bandits who they believe are resposible for several recent robberies in the community. Just two night ago a 15 year old lad who was home alone was tied up and held at knife point by three masked men. The men gained entry by scaling the back fence of the house shown in the picture. Trakkernews spoke to the young man yesterday at his home who related that the men seem to be young and operated as if they knew him and his family. This led to a suspicion that the attackers are from the area. Less than a month ago just up the road from where the attack occured, two men held a business woman at knife point, tied her up and ransacked the house. The mode of operation was the same. The police so far have no supects in both matters. Residents are insecure and are saying that the once vibrant policing group in the area is now a sitting duck. They demand that matters be taken seriously, before the situation gets worse. Some people in the area are now forced to better secure their premises while others opted to relocate with families.
