East Coast Demerara : Four men were today charged and placed before the court following investigations by the police into an incident that occurred on Wednesday last at Non Pariel, ECD, during which three youths were assaulted by residents.
Nazeem Abdool, 32 years of Coldingen, ECD, has been charged with unlawful wounding and assault causing actual bodily harm while Jeremy Sarjoo, 27 years, and Kulwant Sewnarine, 44 years, of Non Pariel, ECD, along with Parmanand Ramnauth, 30 years of Enterprise, ECD, were charged with unlawful wounding.
They appeared before Magistrate Ms. N. Hatmin at the Vigilance Magistrate Court where they were remanded to prison until December 30, 2011.
