East Coast Demerara : Four of the men who were arrested at 4th Field, Cummings Lodge, East Coast Demerara, following police response to two armed robberies in the Cummings Lodge area on February 20th, appeared before Magistrate Alex Moore at the Sparendaam Magistrate Court today where they were remanded to prison until April 4th, 2012.
The men are Orlando Samuels, 22 years; Ricardo April, 22 years; Quincy Bentick, 22 years; and Jamal Munroe, 17 years.
Orlando Samuels and Ricardo April were jointly charged with robbery under arms, committed on Vivian Rookhum and Frederick Cheong.
Orlando Samuels and Jamal Munroe were jointly charged with robbery under arms committed on Mohamed Khan.
Orlando Samuels was also charged with possession of firearm and ammunition without licence and robbery under arms committed on Savitri Bhola.
Quincy Bentick and Ricardo April were charged with robbery with violence committed on Akbar Ali and Amanda Bovell.
