Four charged in Cocaine in fire extinguisher find

Georgetown: The Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU) has arrested four men, following a raid at a house in Timehri, East Bank Demerara on Tuesday night.

CANU in a statement said the raid unearthed suspected cocaine concealed in a fire extinguisher believed to be destined for placement on an aircraft for an international destination at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA). 

According to CANU, the suspected cocaine weighed 1.890 kilograms.  The four men in custody are, Dinesh Dias, Anthony Collins, Seenarine Mathura and Mohamed Inshan.

All are expected in the Providence Court on Friday, April 26.
