Linden: Sometimes carelessness can be fatal, this is the case of two youngsters today at noon, when a 12 year old Shaka Anthony was towing 5 year old Akila Samuels from school. Investigations revealed that motor lorry GFF 9050 and motor car PKK 8621 were proceeding in opposite directions along the roadway when it is alleged that Shaka Anthony rode out from an access road and collided with the motor car.
As a result of the collision, the two children fell off the bicycle into the path of the motor lorry and were run over.
They were taken to the Mc Kenzie Hospital where Akila Samuels was pronounced DOA and Shaka Anthony admitted in a serious condition.
The two motorists are in police custody assisting with the investigations
