Georgetown- As Party leaders and voters become impatient waiting for the polling results, there is a strong appeal for good sense and calm to prevail. The Guyana Elections Commission is now saying that the preliminary results of the national and regional election may come late this evening. Gecom chairmanDr. Steve Surujbally told the media that the hard-copies of statements of poll would first have to come into the headquarters before results are officially made known.
Reports reaching trakkernews is that apart from a few glitches and delays there have been no major reasons for concern and that from the observers perspective the elections seemed free and fair so far.
