Georgetown: The operations of the protected areas commission have been further boosted, as it received two vehicles from the German Development Bank, on Tuesday.
Minister of Natural Resources and the Environment, Robert Persaud, spoke of the progress that has been made with help from the bank, in developing a national protected areas system.
Representative of the bank, Josef Haider, expressed optimism that phase three of the Guyana protected area system project will be successful.
Minister Persaud says the documentation should be signed by Friday, to begin practical implementation of the project as soon as possible.
