GNBS warns consumers to be careful when buying cell phones

Georgetown– The Guyana National Bureau of Standards (GNBS) has issued a warning to consumers when purchasing cellular phones. Speaking to TrakkerNews this afternoon, Mrs. Evadnie Benfield, GNBS programme coordinator said there have been more than 15 cases where used and defective phones are being sold to consumers. She pointed out that the Bureau has a certificate that is being issued to authorized dealers of cell phones and urged customers to purchase only from stores that have GNBS approval.
