The Govenment of Barbados is committed to providing housing for Barbadians says Minister of Housing and Lands, Michael Lashley.
Speaking during the launch of the Urban high rise housing program at Valerie, Brittons Hill, St Michael, Lashley stressed government commitment to urban renewal and to the upliftment of the standard of living within the urban corridor.
"Urban renewal is not about constructing buildings, but also about renovating and beautifying the existing rental units in the urban areas", Lashley said.
He disclosed that the second phase of the housing program will be launched shortly, which deals specifically with that area.
