Georgetown: A local bookstore affiliated to a London based book company has in it's possession a confidential document showing what seems to be proof of purchase from a number of local bookstores, 10,000 copies of secondary school text books amounting to over 100 million dollars. Trakkernews was told by a source that the Ministry of Education has purchased these copies for secondary schools, yet students were given a long list of the said books to be purchased. The local bookstores including the one in possession of the purchase record, is denying such purchases by the Ministry. Trakkernews was told that the bookstores named in the document have absolutely no knowledge of the transaction and that at no time did the Ministry of Education made purchases of text book copies. The document shows a list of the bookstores , the text book copies supply and the total amount spent. Trakkernews understands that the overseas book company has taken legal action against the Government for what they determine is a serious misrepresentation of facts.
