Government will not turn its back on Four Seasons

Bridgetown.

The Government is not giving up on the stalled Four Season project, Minister of Finance,Chris Sinckler give this assurance in the feature address of Standard Distributors' 50th anniversary awards gala over the weekend.

"Now if the Inter-American Development Bank,(IADB) and others with with extensive expertise and due diligence and other with their extensive due diligence and investment analysis have looked at this project inside out , and have determined that it is a viable project that can bring massive returns to investor and country, why on earth would Barbados turn its back on this project"? he asked.

"Let me state categorically, we will not be turning our backs on this project, and we are determined to see that it is not only restarted but carried to completion", Sinckler added.

The stalled Four Seasons Resort and private residences project needs $270 million more to be competed.The developers are looking to the Barbados National Insurance Scheme (NIS) and other local investors to provide a third of the funding.
