The Government of Barbados is working in collaboration with the private sector to develop sustainable strategies that will stimulate the economy.
This was revealed by Minister of Labour, Social Security and Human Resource Development, Senator Dr Esther Byer-Suckoo during a address at an orientation seminar for entrepreneurial bodies hosted by the Ministry of Labour and the Human Resource Development strategy implementation unit at the Warrens office complex.
The Minister said the strategies will help reduce unemployment but in order for them to work, key stakeholders will have to play their part.
Byer-Suckoo highlighted the benefits of the human resource development strategy, including financial, educational and developmental, and expressed a desire to see an expansion of the youth entrepreneurship scheme in schools.
