Govt signs MOU with Panama for energy exports

Panama: The government has signed a Memoradum of Understanding with Panama that would result in several energy products exported to the prosperous Latin American country at preferential rates.

The MOU establishes cooperation in the energy sector that will see propane, butane, bitumen, natural gas, cement, ceramic tiles, clay tiles, steel products and other goods manufactured here, exported with preferential tariff arrangements to Panama.

Prime Minister Kamla Persad Bissessar says Trinidad and Tobago is also accessing bunkering services on the Panama Canal.
