Georgetown : The Guyana Public Service co-op credit Union today donated a cheque of $100,000 to the mother of 11 year old Daron Adams who has to undergo surgery for both of his kidneys.
At the presentation at the union’s Hadfield Street Office were the top brass of the credit union
Mr. Ulander, Mr. Edward Johnson, Mr. Kennith Watson and Mr. Trevor Benn who handed over the cheque to Mrs. Mayfield George.
George of Lima Sands, Essequibo Coast told TrakkerNews her son who attends the Lima Sands Primary School has to do a surgery soon which demands some $3M at the Balwant Singh Hospital. At this point she has not reached the halfway mark but is pleading for public assistance.
She says her son is very low at this point of time and urgently needs the assistance.
George pointed out that it was difficult to get a medical report from a doctor at the Georgetown Hospital on the child’s condition to produce to the Ministry of Health for Government assistance.
However a biopsy that was done privately with the help of overseas based Guyanese George Subraj was produced to the Health Ministry and looking forward for Government’s help.
An account has been set up at Demerara Bank for persons who wish to make a donation.
