Grandfather who went missing is found dead

Port of Spain:  Grandfather of ten, Errol Christopher, 68, went missing on Saturday after leaving his home around 6 am to head to his garden. Christopher lived at Hindustan Road, New Grant. On Sunday family and friends launched a search for him when they realsied he did not return home, which he would usually do. But to their surprise his charred remains were discovered in his garden at Campbell Trace, Libertville, Rio Claro around 2.30 pm by his son Curvin.

Christopher was a retired crane operator and last worked at Miguel Michanics. His family is in a state of shock and will depend on forensics to determine the cause of death, since there was no threats on his life, he never missed anything from his land nor did he have any land disputes.

His daughter Susan Leigh Christopher, said her father was in good health and had no complaints neither did he suffer with his heart. All she can recall is him having a cataract surgery about 10 years ago nothing else. So far the family's assumption is that he was burnt in a bush fire which razed his garden and two acres of agricultural land nearby. Neighbours near Christopher's garden raised an alarm after they noticed the raging bush fire and realised his car was parked near the area. WPC  Ferguson of the Rio Claro Police Station is continuing investigations.
